Defending a case or filing a suit before national and international Sports Arbitration tribunals

The sports federations of each country are, as the case may be, members of the continental or regional confederation and are subject to international regulations established by the world federations.

A quasi-judicial organization called the Court of Arbitration for Sport has been established in Lausanne, Switzerland, in order to settle all related lawsuits in this area.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport, known as the CAS for short, handles all disputes between athletes, sports clubs or sports organizations that have chosen the CAS to settle disputes. Also, according to Article 61 of the Olympic Charter, all disputes related to the Olympic Games can only be submitted to the arbitral tribunal.

The litigation in this court, the defense of the lawsuits in this court, as well as the manner of appealing against the final verdicts of the sports arbitration court or obtaining temporary orders and any legal actions related to the arbitration court are subject to its own formal rules and principles of procedure.

Lawyers and sports law experts of the Daad and Kherad Law firm, with sufficient preparation and experience of attending meetings and how to file a lawsuit and follow up with the CAS, have the ability to resolve disputes in the CAS.
